| jeff 7/3/2014 12:21:30 PM | For those of you who may not know, Los Al was granted dates by the CHRB to run a short race meet between Santa Anita and Del Mar. Opening Day is today, Thur July 3, 2014. Link to LA Times article: here. FYI, this is a wholly separate meet from the QH races normally run at Los Al. Because there is a new course configuration and because the top riders and trainers from the SOCAL thoroughbred circuit are going to be there, Equibase will be using a new track code for this meet: LRC. HDW will be compiling a separate set of stats under track code LRC. FYI, I haven't spoken to anyone at Brisnet but imagine they will likely do the same. FYI, QH races run at night will contnue to be under the existing track code: LAX.
